Avondale Park Primary School serves a diverse and vibrant community in North Kensington. In 2014 Avondale federated with St Anne’s Nursery, and in 2023 joined the Fox Federation along with Fox Primary, Ashburnham Primary and Avonmore Primary.
We share a highly ambitious curriculum with the other schools and our teachers plan together. This ensures that there is both high quality and consistency with our curriculum and planning
Avondale Park is an aspirational and dynamic two-form entry school. Our belief is that children are entitled to the highest quality teaching, an ambitious and exciting curriculum, a stimulating learning environment and a safe and caring place in which learning is of the highest quality. We ensure appropriate challenge and support so that all our children achieve their best – emotionally and academically. Visitors are struck by our confident expressive children who are engaged in their learning and proud of their achievements – as well as the friendly and hardworking atmosphere created by staff, pupils and parents.
We have two classes in each year group, and benefit from class sizes of approximately about 22 children per class. This is ensure a high adult / pupil ratio which enables all children to receive more 1:1 support. We are lucky to have a great staff of Teachers, Teaching Assistants and Nursery Officers. We pride ourselves as teachers on aiming continually to develop and improve our teaching in order to make learning accessible and exciting for all pupils.
We are fortunate to have lots of space with excellent facilities, including a computer suite, interactive whiteboards in each classroom, two sports halls, and developing playgrounds. As your child’s first teacher, you will be aware of your child’s needs, strengths and weaknesses and we hope to build upon that experience through a strong home – school partnership. We are happy to discuss our approach to education with parents and hope that they will continue to be involved in their children’s education throughout their school career.
